Ideas to Recruit New Members
1. One from every business.
Each and every business category should have representation in our club.
It's good for them and their business, and it's good for our club.
"the perfect way to network"
2. UNDER 40
Every club should enjoy the company of experience and new energy.
International recommends recruiting efforts for the under 40 years of age for a great club experience.
3. COMMUNITY NEWCOMERS
In our everyday life (at work, in church, in our neighborhoods) people are coming to our community to live. Kiwanis is an excellent outreach program to get them involved and help them feel a welcome part of what we already know is a great place to be.
4. SHARING THE WORD
Each week Greg Smith lovingly puts together a very good bulletin that is placed at each place setting. It's okay to take these and put it where others might pick it up and see what we do. Or, better yet, personally hand it to someone who may not be looking for a service club to join.
5. TWO AT A TIME
Two members go together and visit with a new prospect. This works well because each Kiwanian will voice their own enthusiasm for being in this Club. This also works well when calling upon a former member. (they count too)
6. OUR OWN COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Wearing our tee shirtss and name tags, participating in community functions. A perfect opportunity comes up next week, the May 11-12 May Days. Wear your Kiwanis proudly!
